Message Mapping - Backup

Hi,

In the process of transporting software components from Dev to QA, we found couple of our message mappings got wiped out?? Is it possible to restore them by re-importing the .tpz file ?? Is there a way to read this .tpz file...We tried to read it and it was all junk..After this activity, I am pondering about taking a backup of all our development activities.

Is there a way to take a back up of all mappings or interface objects??

Are you sure they are not accidentally deleted?Use the find the option and see wether the objects are present.

You'll lose your mappings e.g. when they are done on a XI sp14 and transported to XI sp9.

There have been changes in sp14 that don't let do this.

Hi Ken,

we never had any such issues while moving from DEV to QA.

Make sure that you have activated all the objects/changelists in IR before you take a tpz export of your SWCV, otherwise objects will not be included in the export.

Hi Anand,

Thanks for info. I can understand if they did not transported but they went missing in DEV. I am not sure why this happens..Did anybody face the same issue?
