Hi,
I have some developed some local projects. Now, I want to use views & functions of one project into another project. One way of doing this is converting local project into DC and then reusing functions & views.
I currently do not have NWDI setup.
Is there any risk in converting local project to DC? Any limitations? Is it recommended way of reusing functionality of one project in another?
Request your expert opinion on whether I should go ahead with conversion of local projects to DCs or there is any risk involved in it?
Thanks,
Apurva
Hi Apurva,
Ig it is not a DC then you cannot use the functionality of one project in other projects, but using the DCs you can do that.
You don'd need a NWDI to make use of DCs, you can do that without NWDI also.
If you want use the DCA in DCB then add the DCA Component as a public part in DCA and then add this as a Used DC in DCB.

Hi,
Your local projects must be DCs other reusability is not
possible in local projects.
U dont require an NWDI to use functionaity of one DC into
another.NWDI is just a central repository for all ur developed
component. The required functionality can be acheived by Local
Dcs also. You just need to expose the public part of one DC
and consume into other. You can easily convert a Local Dc to
NWDI Dc.
