Hello,
As per PAM SAP Content Server 6.40 is supported on Windows but only on "WINDOWS SERVER 2003/IA32 32BIT" version.
So does it imply that content server is not supported on 64 bit Windows platform??
I also want to know about Windows Server 2008. Although it is not mentioned in PAM, is it supported for content server? Additionally I've checked SAP Note "1054740 - SAP System Installation on Windows Server 2008.txt" again which did not give any fair idea about Windows 2008 platform support.
Please throw some light on 64 bit windows support as well as for Windows 2008 platform support for content server (which implicitly has MAXDB as database).
Thanks & Regards,

Hi,
SAP Content Server 6.40 is not supported on 64 bit windows you have to use 32 bit windows.
Windows Server 2008 is supported only Netweaver 7.0 SR3 and higher (64-bit only) so you can not use
SAP Content Server 6.40 on windows server 2008.

Many time PAM is wrong or not updated.
I have incontered a case that OSS notes tell you one thing, PAM another.
I that case I open an OSS message and at the end sap tell me that wath I want to do is possible and send me the entire procedure !! All in contrast of wath PAM tell me.
My example is WIN32 SAP 47X110 on SQL2000 32-bit migration to WIN64 SAP 47X110 on SQL2005 64BIT (PROCESSORS INTEL AS AMD64).
I learned that is not important the version of R3 ( 471 or 472) but version of sap_basis and kernel !!!
OPEN AN OSS MESSAGE and insist if SAP global support don't respond clearly yes or no!!
