Hello All -
While going thru the DP documentation on Help.sap.com
i came across this line
'the forecast settings of the key figures in the planning area by right mouse clicking the planning area and choosing Forecast settings."
can someone please explain as to what is forecast settings all about and whats the use of it.
Thank you,
Suresh Garg
apart from corrected history & corrected forecast , it can also be used for Ex-post forecast & Ex-post multi-linear regression .These are standard key figures
There are two settingsin univriate profile
1. Read corr history data from Planning version &
2. Adjust corrected history (Allows you to base your forecast on the key figure Corrected history even if no forecast has been carried out for some time)
Without defining key figure in Forcast setting , you can not use these two settings in univariate profile .
Use of this function is optional though if you are not using these two settingsin univariate profile

HI,
That is used for the corrected history and corrected forecast settings..
here you mentioned a KF for corrected history in addtion to your original history KF you set in the univariate profile..
Generally we dont allow users to modify the original history KF..but some time there may a requirement to make manual adjustments to the history to have a proper forecast..
In that case we do this setting, run the forecast..
then original history will be copied into this corr history with some system corrections based on outliers, work days..etc..
then you do corrections on the corr History KF and switch on the indicator against "read corr History" in the univariate profile of the master fcst profile..then again run the forecast , for which the history base will the corr history..
go thru the F1 help of that indicator in univariate profile for detailed explanation
