Hi,
I have encountered the following error in the import process for Inplace CodePage conversion on R/3 4.6c with 46D Ext kernel. The export finished succesfully, then I applied the ASCII patch and executed the dbcpip.r3s script. All parameters specified correctly. But now the issue is in the phase DB4CREATELOCALE_IND_DB4ASCII. In the document, solution is Install Extended NLS support. However I feel the issue is something else as the error is for Primary language EN.
The error is as below:
ERROR 2008-06-17 11:24:48 DB4CREATELOCALE_IND_DB4ASCII InternalInstallationDo
Locale EN_US_ISO1 using ccsid 500 failed to create into R3SBT400.
Insure that the source name is correct and the ccsid is valid
.CRTLOCALE is only valid for V4R5 releases or later.

Did someone face the same issue. Please suggest what can be done.

Volker,
I don't have the library QSYSLOCALE. In my system if I go to GO LICPGM option 21, it is Install secondary languages.
If I enter option 21 and display the Installed secondary languages, it show English (2924)as the primary language.
Do I need to install any additional languages?
Please suggest.
If I look at the CPC Import joblog, it shows as:
==============================
R3SETUP PARMLIST(dbcpip.r3s)
User-defined file system created.
File system mounted.
File system or directory unmounted.
User-defined file system deleted.
Object not found. Object is
/QSYS.LIB/QSYSLOCALE.LIB/QLOCALESRC.FILE/EN_US.MBR.
Locale object /QSYS.LIB/R3SBT400.LIB/EN_US_ISO1.LOCALE not created.
===============================
Please advice if any locale files are missing in the ASCII kernel. If I check for objects by name EN_US_ISO1 type *Locale, they exist in the old EBCDIC kernels.
Regards,
Nick Ron

Hi Nick,
go licpgm option 10 ,,,,
=> there 21 is missing ....
you need to install that ,,, if this is not necessary, I could provide you with a download of the LIB qsyslocale (dirty, but works)

Hi Nick,
this is a SAVF - it needs to be unzipped and then transferred binary to a SAVF on i5. Then you need to use RSTLIB on the SAVF ...

Hi Nick,
as I wrote above already - this is a known issue that it becomes a PF ;-.(((
You need to use the following on i5 first:
crtsavf xxx-lib/savfname
Then it will be a SAVF and you can restore ...
