Hello all,
I have a completely custom ITS application. It is currently running a standalone ITS 6.20 and a 4.6C backend. It is served up by an IIS server, which also holds all of the .GIF files and JavaScript libraries.
We are upgrading to ECC 6 (WAS 7.0), so the standalone ITS is no longer an option. I have been able to configure the ICM and the WEBRFC service, so the pages appear almost as they did pre-upgrade. My only issue is with the .GIF images and the javascript. In order to get them to work I had to hardcode the server and pathnames into the HTML templates (SMW0). This is no good as now my server names will be exposed publicly.
Does anyone know how handle .gifs and .js files for webrfc applications running in the integrated ITS environment?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Jim Sharkey
Hi
WebRFC is not supported using SAP integrated ITS, instead it is supported as a separate ICF service (refer to Note 979467). This replacement is available as of NetWeaver 2004s.
Please check this note
Note 979467 - Web Reporting: Support of WebRFC via an ICF Service
For Integrated ITS pls see rthis

Hi Tobias,
How do I do that? I went to SE80, clicked on repository browser. From the drop down I chose Internet Service, and then chose the WEBRFC service. In the folder structure, below WEBRFC there is a folder called Mime Objects. When I right click on this I get the option to CREATE. After browsing to the gif file i try to save, but get an error saying the service can only be saved in an SAP package, which I as a customer do not have the ability to do.
I assume I am missing something, but what?
Thanks,
Jim
