Storing a value in XI

Hi all,

I have a scenario(idoc to file) in that whenever i post a file to the reciever end there is a field value that should be incremented by one than the previous file's that specific value.

But in mapping i cant make it through coz i have no idea to store the value in XI.

can anyone plz suggest.

Hi,

In mapping you have the counter API that you can use, but it will be restricted for only that mapping instance.

Even you can maintain the global varioable or preferrable way to go for RFC Look-up concept where you can increment the field value as per the calls and could be mainatin previous value in DB.
