Hi there
I need to use infotype 0316 and profile authorization group in the subtype to prevent superior from approving certain type of hours (e.g overtime). Can anyone explain how can this be done?
Is it so that the subtype of 0316 is used for entering the data entry profile and it is also the same field where parameter CVR is maintained?
The problem is that, we are using data entry profile called OVERTIME (8 characters) for profile, but the 0316 subtype in PFCG only allows a profile name with 4 characters.
Have I understood something wrongly?
Appreciate your prompt reply.

Hi,
I think i did something similar to what you are looking for:
Employee enters time in CAT2 against a certain data entry profile (e.g. OVERTIME)
1) Create a new authorisation group for data entry profile (e.g ZOVR)
SPRO -> Cross-Application Components -> Time Sheet -> Authorisations ->
Create Authorisations for Data Entry Profile
2) Assign the new authorisation group ZOVR to the data entry profile OVERTIME
SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> ESS Settings
for Specific Services -> Time Management -> Set Up Data Entry Profiles
and Field Selection.
3) Add CVR parameter ZOVR to user's parameter list in user master record
Then in your P_ORGIN and/or P_PERNR object, restrict on infotype 0316 subtype ZOVR
