for examle rfc or idoc adapter are used for sap systems.like this for which systems we use SOAP adapter

You can use SOAP Adapter for communicating with Web Services.

We will use the SOAP Adapter in case while we are dealing with the Webservices
Ex: If that Application is running on either .NET or JAVA and those applications are exposed as Webservices means we can use SOAP Adapter here

No need to go for Business system. U can use the business services.
create the business service in integration directory and activate it and use that for ur SOAP scenarios.

For Webservice and SOAP Adapters we can use Business Service,
No Need of creation of any Business System
You can create the Business service in ID itself
