RFC channel error, connection to host xx, service sapgw00 timed out

Hi,

has anyone an idea what might cause this error in an RFC receiver channel?

Receiverchannel 'SIE_PG_r_RFC_SetStatus' for Partner '', Service 'SIE_PG_Q_IG1CLNT400'

Error can not instantiate RfcPool caused by:

com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: error initializing RfcClientPool:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.repository.RfcRepositoryException: can not connect to destination system due to: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to SAP gateway failed

Hi,

In the RFC Receiver CC, give the Host name instead of IP

Hi,

in CC host name is filled in. But in this error message the IP showp up

it was an firewall issue

please make sure that the sateway port 33** got opened.

**  denotes your instance number.

We faced similar error sometime ago. The root cause was, we typed in a wrong password for RFC user in the channel. As a result the channel attempted to log in several times and got the connection pool exhausted.

However, it might be any other log on credential error that leads to multiple failed attempts and results to exhausion of connection pool.

Remedy:

1. Increase connection pool size.

2. Ask basis guy for the correct RFC user logon and unlock the user.
