MDM Layout Server

Hi,

We are trying to configure MDM Layout Server in order to use Publisher. We have installed it on to a machine where MDM server also resides. Now when we tried to access Publisher Home page it prompts for Layout Server's address which in our case is same as MDM server's. But same is not working.

Please let us know if anybody has worked on this before and help us configuring Layout server.

Hi Amol,

Try this out, open you system's control pannel>Administrative tool> Select Services--> under services select SAP MDM <Version> Layout Server<double Click> there you will find a start button, click that one.

You can change the startup type to automatic to start the Layout server every time you log on to your system. And in case if you find you system shut down again then restart it using the same path and method... Hope this will solve ur problem

Hello Amol,

I think the same server address should work for the Publisher.There might the case that the Layout server is not properly installed.try to reinstall the Layout server again and if possible on different server.

Have you started the service for MDM Layout Server ? if not please start the service.

Hi Amol,

fist start the MDM Layout Server and then open the publisher.To open the Publisher the Lay out Server must be running.
