Hi All,

I am trying file - rfc - file scenario on XI. I am done with the all the programming related stuff. Now I want to test this for that

I want to place an input xml file in the machine in which the XI server installed. I do not have authorization to use AL11 transaction to place a file on sap unix. Is there any other alternative to place the file on sap unix level.

thanks

Suds

Hi,

You must have the authorization to place the file on application server, Either way you can configure your local PC as FTP and can keep the file there with FTP instead of using NFS.

Refer --Steps to configure the PC as FTP server.

Hi,

If it is just for testing purpose you can install a ftp server on your local machine/desktop, place the file in your machine and can test the whole scenario. There are few ftp free softwares which are really fast to install and will help you out.

You can download and use guildftpd from http://www.guildftpd.com/

The other way is to mount the XI server on your SAP Server and once you place the file in XI server it will be reflected in SAP Server as well.

Thanks

Amit
