Temporary License for sap web as

our temporary license of pck webAS is outdated, I got the temporary license key from sap website. but I deleted the outdated license at first. now when I press the button "install subsequent temp license", there is a popup message. so I cannot proceed. how to fix this?

Try install from Visual admin -> Cluster -> Services -> Licensing Adapter.

I tried it using licensing adapter on pck, but it need installing from a file. I just have a licensing key my colleague sent to me, no sole file exists, how to do it

Hey, It is a file!! The file contains the license key, hardware key, sid etc..

The license key differs from system to system

So, get the file from ur colleague

can i use saplicense.exe to install license key? when i use saplicense -temp. It shows the error "cannot set dbS1 trace function". another question is what is the dirrerence between saplicense.exe and Licensing adapter in visual admin? both I can use to install licensing for my pck system?

Licensing for ABAP stack you can use two ways

1) SLICENSE Transaction

2) saplicense.exe

Licensing for Java stack you have to apply it through visual admin.

For a WebAS ABAP + Java system applying the license to ABAP stack is suffice.
