(Item) Item is missing from the UWL persistent cache #

I am constantly getting this error on the UWL page, tried all the documents and configurations...

The user trying to access the UWL has corrosponding role mapping from MDM.

the user has end user right on the system object created.

the names(alias name) in the xml file is correct.

xml file is pointing to the right page created with UWL iView and RS and Item Details iView

i cleared the cache/restarted both the UWL services.

where else i can go wrong?

I am sure this is quite stupid mistake i might be doing, but what is it, i cant figure out, please help.

Problem should be in your UWL XML configuration. Double check the file to make sure you are making a mistake with the Case.

Are you using MdmIViewLauncher?

Hi,

I tried all possible combinations in the XML, also tried on another portal server, it is the same error i am getting. Some how i feel it is the error on the cache of the MDM server.

Need some info, there are some logins present in the MDM repository, which are in the hung state, i checked with MDM guys, they say, these cannot be deleted citing a limitation with MDM.

Is there any workaround for deleting the user Login sessions from MDM console?

can we set some kind of time out for the sessions which are not being used?

The timeout is set in mds.ini file. But it has nothing to do with the UWL error that you are getting. Post your XML. That might help in looking at what the problem could be.

Thanks.

I think i found the solution, with help from colleagues.

The XML is ofcourse fine and it looks like the changes that are described to be made in the XML are of no use. Anyways, Just staying on the problem for now, there looks like a permission issue.

I gave Folder Permission to the users on the folder where my objects(iView/pages etc) were created.

System Administration > Permissions > Folder ABC > Permissions Tab, give End User and Role Assigner permission to the concerned users.

The stuff is right now working for EXPERT Role, don't know why it is not working for other roles yet.

I will let you guys know when i solve it.

The final solution was in clearing out the unstable records from workflow table of the respective users. records that had thrown exception during the workflow execution.

Dear Natin,

What do you mean clearing unstable records from workflow from respective users? How you identify that this record is unstable, which transaction did you use?

Many thanks in advance,

Maxat

Since i was working on test, there were some w/f tasks that went into exceptions while being worked on by the respective user.

I do not know the exact state of the w/f but it sure was not coming up for that user. Then i went into the Data Manager and to the w/f tab and tried to execute the W/f with those UserIds, it was throwing exception there too. Then i used the admin Id to clean the w/f tasks.

After that things started workign fine.
