Dear all,

During the installation of Solution Manager, in phase 44 of 47, i am receiving this error "CTC retval is not 0 but 255". I am unable to find the sapnotes for these. The version of Solution Manager is 7.0 SR4 with NW 7.0 SR3 on solaris 10 x64 with oracle 10g database.

Can anyone tell me how to solve this.

Thanks

Hello Anthony

During the installation of SAP I have the same problem like you.

In phase 44 of 47, i am receiving this error "CTC retval is not 0 but 255".

I set the PATH in env in root user like that:

PATH=/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin:/opt/sapstore/java/jdk1.6.0_06/jre/bin/java

JAVA_HOME=/opt/sapstore/java/jdk1.6.0_06/jre/bin/java

, but the same problem still occure.

Must be the system restarted after the change in PATH?

Can you please describe me, how you set your env or how to correct points of java.

Thank You.

The problem is solved by pointing to the correct java.

I have already tried this note but didnt work.

Can you tell me how to add location in PATH. i mean i have to write in any file or through command.

If i execute env with sidadm user it shows for path "

PATH=/oracle/SLM/102_64/bin:/usr/jdk/jdk1.5.0_12/bin:/home/slmadm:/usr/sap/SLM/SYS/exe/run:/usr/bin:.:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/ucb

How to add this location in existing.

Thanks

Hello,

On AIX i would set the PATH using setenv command.

setenv PATH <path string>

eg.

setenv PATH /oracle/SLM/102_64/bin:/usr/jdk/jdk1.5.0_12/bin:/home/slmadm:/usr/sap/SLM/SYS/exe/run:/usr/bin:.:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/ucb

Use google to find out the syntax for Solaris.

somtimes these error occur when the system picks up the Java version that it encounters in the first instance itself.

For example, here in your system PATH points first to the Orace/SLM/102_64/bin directory. If there is a java executable in that directory it will use that version.

However your SAP instance might need a different version.

Have you set JAVA_HOME manually, if not try setting that to the correct JDK as per the installation manual.

Hello,

The following seems to be a problem:

>> PerfTimes : loadNativeLayer: loading jperflib failed. no jperflib in java.library.path

Add the /sapmnt/<SID>/exe path to your System's PATH variable and i think this problem should go away.

Check whether ur Java is working or not...CTC is the Template Installer and Java must be up for that.

Please check the Java Instance.
