How to change my PUBLIC IP of saprouter from SMP

Former Member

Dear Experts,

Our Saprouter is configured and was working fine until our client decided to change the public ip,

After the new IP was changed the saprouter was updated and its working fine.

But we are facing a problem when we are connecting to SMP via solution manager to download Support patches for our systems...

We have changed the IP where ever required in the Sol Man configurations, it connects fine to the SMP but we get no data available.

When checked the system details @ SMP it was showing me the same old details for the SAProuter.

Now i want to change the details to the new public ip but it was not possible @ SMP.

Do i need to raise an SAP MESSAGE, if yes to which component.

And what are the other steps i need to do after i update, so that i can have no problems for my Sol Man.

Thanks to all in advance,

Regards

Harry Hunter

Hi Harry,

You need to send a message to SAP with de component XX-SER-NET to change the public ip adrress of your saprouter, then test the SAPOSS connection in your solman. if your test connection works your MOPZ will be fine.

Hello,

Start transaction OSS1->Parameters->Technical Settings.

Make sure you have put right configuration over there.

This would reflect the new ip wherever applicable (for ex SAPOSS RFC destination).

Hi

Try out this setting:

Note 766505 - OSS1: Changes to the RFC connection to SAPOSS

Note 1021275 - Maintenance Optimizer: RFC Destinations for Partners
