Hi Experts,
Can anybody tell me how the users can reset or change their own password once they login into DM.
Once the users login into the Data manager they should be able to set their own password by changing the old password set by the administrator.
Do i need to do any configuration in the DM? or something can be done in console?
can anybody please advice me...
Thanks & Regards
Sireesha.
Hi,
This change password functionality has been provided with SP6 Patch2. Its not available with SP5.
Hence you will have to use the Console-->Users Table to reset the password.

Hi Kaushik,
I have reopened the post as i have some doubts at version level.
My MDM Client version is 5.5 SP5. To get the configuration features for password change i have adviced basis to change the SP level 6. But basis says that SP03 is the latest for SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0...
I have checked SAP Note 1160025. Its given that SP03 is based on SP06.
Can u please ensure that if i change to SP03 will i get the same features of SP06 or do i need to install separately for SP06. Are both SP03 and SP06 are same?
How do i know the latest SP level for SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0 5.5 SP5
Can anyone please clarify my doubt....?
Thanks & Regards
Sireesha.
Hello Sireesha,
How do i know the latest SP level for SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0 5.5 SP5
You can refer the SAP NOTE-1083126 for the version mapping of SRM-MDM Catalog with MDM versions.
SP03 and SP06 both are differant. MDM 5.5 SP06 is the latest version now.
if you upgrade the server from SP03 to SP06, then you have to redeploy the Scar files on WAS which are related to SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0 as per the MDM Server version.
I hope the above mentioned SAP Note will help you and clear your doubt.

Hello Sreesha,
You access MDM repositories with a user and password. SAP NetWeaver MDM uses its own mechanisms to define users and password.
You can set passwords for the users to control the access from the administration section of MDM Console. In the Admin section, you will find a table as "User" and there you can set the password for a perticular user.
Even you can change the role also which is assigned to a perticular user.
In MDM, User Management is only possible from the MDM Console.
there is no such functionality in MDM Data Manager 5.5 Sp05.
Hope this will clear your doubt.

Hi,
you can change the password in MDM Console. After connecting to your Repository ->Go To Admin->Navigate to Users->Corresponding to your User name, in User Detail you can change your Password which is Applicable for All of your GUI Clients
Hope it will Help you,
