Material lock

HI friends,

I am gettin a frequent issue of material lock.

Please tell me what are the reasons for this issue.

Please tell me the measures that enduser should take, to reduce material locks.

Dear Vamsi Krishna,

One of the basic reasons is when you or some one else open a material's MM02 screen and then you are again trying to open that same material master data screen, this will happen. In this case there is nothing you can do except wait till the other person closes it or if you opened it in the first place, then close one screen so you can work on the other.

Hi Vamsi,

We get this kind of errors when some one is using the same material. I.e two users using the same material at one time. U ask the user to c the transaction in display mode in cases to check rather than change mode.
