Hi Experts,
We have created a Inspection Type Z1 which is copy of the Inspection Type 01.
This is a procurement cycle.
The result recording is done by LAB Personnel.
The UD is done by Materials Department.
-The issue is given below-.
If the result recording is not completed, SYSTEM should not allow to do UD.
The system must thro' an error.
Can any one suggest solution.
With Best Regards,
Raghu Sharmaa
Hi,
To stop usage decision without result recording -
You should define inspection characteristic as a required characteristic. If results are not recorded for characteristic and person try to record usage decision, system gives message in pop window "reqd characteristics are still open do you want to force inspection completion".Ask basis person to check at authorization level to stop the usage decsion if characteristic results are not recorded.
You can also control this by defining a user status for inspection lot.\

Dear Sanjay,
Thanks for your reply.
Can u please elaborate the user profile?
I will be thankful to u.
As soon as the issue is sorted out, I will give u full marks.
In PFCG, Which element we have activate to stop the UD.
We get the authorization for PFCG and we have to do the needful pertaining to a role.
Please do the needful.

Hi Jagadish,
Nice to get a reply from u.
Already We are maintaining this field.
This is in original setting.
Now the user is able to do UD when the Result Recording is not done.
The business requirement is to prevent UD only when RR is not DONE.
But he has to do UD when RR is completed.
With Regards,
Raghu Sharma
Hi Jagadish,
He has to do UD for the insp. type 01 and Z10.
Z10 is also copy of 01.
If I remove, then he may not be able to do UD for the above two inspeciton type.
Am I correct?
I will check and confirm u also.
Here the requirement is --> he has to do UD.
If RR is not completed, System should give an error.
With Best Regards,
Raghu Sharma.
Hi Raghu,
If you want restriction over UD before RR, you should impliment the "STATUS PROFILE" for the inspection lot.
Here are some STD status prfiles displayed for your reference, you can creat new also as per the requirement.
QM_L_001 - Inspection Lot Profile 1
QM_L_002 - Insp.Lot, WEB Insp. Finished
QM_L_003 - No Stock Posting Before UD
Customizing path to creat new is as below,
Quality Management>Quality Inspection>Status Management.
update us to help you more, reward points to help you better!

You have to provide some more info then "its not sufficient".
The user profile Joshi suggested prevents the UD before doing RR. What's not sufficient about it?
If you want to limit it to specific user, add an authorization group to it. You must have seen that field in conifg when you looked at this functionality.

Hi Craig snyder,
Thanks for your reply.
QM_L_001 profile I have assigned profile QM_L_001 to the insp. type Z10.
I have tested the UD for a specific insp. lot for which the result recording is not done.
The system is not stopping the UD activity.
Can u plz guide?
The user needs this requirement immediately.
With Best Regards,
Raghu Sharma.
Hi Joshi,
How the logic works?
I have to assign the Profile to the Inspection Type Z10.
Am I correct?
Is it sufficient to assign the profile to the Inspection Lot?
Is there any other customization to be carried out?
Please confirm.
What are the status I should create, if I copy this Profile
"QM_L_001".
What should be the Transaction Control for each status.
Please help.
With Best Regards,
Raghu Sharma
Well of course QM_L_001 doesn't stop the UD. Its not designed to. Joshi listed the available status profiles available. QM_L_003 is the status profile to assign if you want to stop UD until RR is completed. It says it in the description "No Stock Posting Before UD". And it does work.
This status profile will only work in new lots once it is assigned to the inspection type in config. To apply it to exisitng lots, go to QA02 and then go to the status screen and enter the status profile name directly into the status profile field near the bottom of the screen.
