Hi Friends,

When we enter a sales order by transaction VA01 we donu2019t need to specify the sales area immediately. If we donu2019t, where does the system automatically derive the sales area?

If you don't enter sales area at time of entering sales order, system derives it automatically from customer master record.

for example in transaction VA01, you enter order type as OR and click enter, in next screen you enter sold to party customer.

Once you enter customer number or name and click enter the system derives sales area from this customer master record.

Hello,

The sales area in a sales document is taken from the sold-to-party. You can try the same, create a sales order and try to change the sol-to-party, the system will say sales area re-determined. So, the sales area is determined from Sold-to-party in a sales order.
