NetWeaver 7.0 - ABAP Stack + Java Stack - Confused

Hi Eveerybody,

I have installed SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SP 14 AS using Rapid Installer in Windows 2003 Server with Oracle database.

This installer downloaded from SAP MarketPlace. Here is the details of the installer location in Marketplace.

Path: Installations and Upgrades -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NETWEAVER -> SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 ->

Rapid Installer -> Windows Server -> ORACLE -> SAP Rapid Installer NW 7.0 SPS14 (Part 1 - 😎

Object No: 51033323_1 - 51033323_8

AS is running fine. But my confusion is wheather this AS is also shiped with ABAP stack or not??

ABAP stack means it will have some standard BAPI/RFC provided by SAP.

My question: is this AS has JAVA (I am sure it has) + ABAP stack or only JAVA stack?

If the answer is only JAVA stack, then how will I get JAVA + ABAP package from marketplace.

Hi

SAP NetWeaver Rapid Installer installs Portal, KM (with TREX), Collaboration and Web Application Server (Java part).

If you want to go for ABAP part then it is not supported by Rapid Installer. So you have to follow the normal installation procedure for ABAP stack

Thanks for the answer. But can you guide me, how can I install NetWeaver 7.0 (ABAP + Java Stack) in a single machine, i.e What packages I have to download and what is the procedure to install. Thanks in advance.

Hi

For ABAP + Java stack (SAP Rapid Insatller doesnot support it)

You have to do the normal SAP Installation for NW 04s ABAP + JAVA

Please check the installation guide for doing the installation
