Help, Adding items to existing SO

Hi Experts,

I have the requirement of adding another item to existing Sales Order via programs,but I don't know which Function or BAPI can realize such function. Would you please give me some suggestions if familiar?

While you can very well add a new line item in existing sale order directly, what is the need for BAPI ??

Dear Lakshmipathi,

It may be a special requirement. A standard background program will run daily automatically and call a BAdI .In the BAdI, the info from Material Doc. items would be inserted into the certain sales order via a BAPI or some other functions. Now what I urgenly need is just the BAPI that can help me fulfill the business process.
