Hi,
I have created the Alerts through ALRTCATDEF in dev system, is it possible to move the Alert configurations to QA system. Pls suggest me how i can move or do i need to create the same thing in QA system.
Thanks in advance,
Venkat
Hi,
You can transport alert categories in order to make them available in other systems.
To transport alert categories the following prerequisites have to be met:
· In the customizing client in transaction SCC4, the detail setting Automatic recordings of changes has to be selected in the group box Changes and Transports for Client-Specific Objects.
· There must exist the corresponding transport connection.
To transport alert categories proceed as follows:
1. Open the ALM customizing transaction ALRTCATDEF.
2. Choose Transport ® Current Alert Category or Transport all alert categories.
You are asked to specify a customizing request.
3. Choose an existing customizing request or create a new one.
Result
You can check in transaction SE09, if the category was inserted into the customizing request.

Hope this will solve your purpose.

Hi Venkat,
In this following way u can transport alerts:
Alert Category
Go to menu TRANSPORT in ALRTCATDEF Transport --> Current Alert Category or Transport all alert categories.
You are asked to specify a customizing request.Choose an existing customizing request or create a new one. You can check in transaction SE09, if the category was inserted into the customizing request.
Alert Rules
You may create a transport request by running the report SXMSALERT_CONFIGTRANS.
How to transport Alerts see below link
