Hi David,

Ek01 is Actal cost condition type

Ek02 is calculated or estimated condition type. i'll give you a small example to get the actual cost Fi/Co consultants will do the costing sheet .in the costing sheet u can find cost of goods sold like material cost, labour cost, production cost, administrative cost, all put together is cost of goods sold.first they will do the cost estimation of material it is nothing but Ek02 condition type. After the estimation once the material is manufactured and done the production then the stock will go to shopfloor to storage location then you will get an actual cost. so if material calculated cost say for example 500rs after come to the delivering plant the cost is 495 rs the diffrence of cost will settle and it will go to COPA.

VPRS is a profit margin condition type.Basically it is a statistical condition type. how it picks the profit marging it first look into the determine cost at item categorie then it will go the requirment 4 in the pricing procedure.then it will fetch the standard price from the Mateial Master

VPRS works for non-BOM scenarios. in BOM scenarios there is a cond called KUMU. kumu adds the costs of all the shild components to the header part. VPRS and KUMU form and exclusion grp i.e only once can be present in the sales order.

Hello,

EK01 : If the sales price dependes on the expected cost then Condition type EK01is used.this mean the value of the cost goes directly in to pricing.

EK02 is used for calculating the magin in line item of order while in case price is based on cost + markup.

VPRS is what should be used to get the material cost. Reference the standard delivered Price procedure RVAA01 and VPRS. This is always marked as statistical.

EK01 and EK02 are used for Sales order costing (usually Make-to-order). EK01 is used as the basis for pricing in a Cost Plus price procedure. EK02 is only used as a statistical value.
