I need to upload Master data......using BDC method..

Wot is the role of FUnctional Consultant...and what i have to do..

Hi Lucky,

Functional consultant should provide the recording name which is done at SHDB tcode.

And you need to tell what type you want either call transaction or session method in bdc.

Or ask the Abaper if bapi is available for that or not.

What are the selection screen options, like

run in test mode,

run in background,

run in forground.All these are radio buttons.

once you done the recording then there is no need to tell the table names to the Abaper.

If you dont know exactly how to record pls ask the ABAPER to develop the bdc for a particular tcode ( mm01 example)

they willl do it themselves if they are kind enough.

hi,

as a functional cons u have to provide the table names and the field names for field maping.

First of all Record BDC thr. Tcode SHDB for the Tcode u want to upload the data. Go to ABAPer and write the programme with yr validation to upload the data in master.
