What should be "PDF Producer" of the Interactive Form?

Hi,

I have been facing a problem with drop-down list of offline interactive form. When I view PDF Preview in SFP, it works just fine.

I saved a copy of interactive form directly from PDF Preview.. and then compared "Document Properties" of that with the one created using application program by calling form function module.

PDF Preview form says (this form works fine):

Application : Adobe Designer 7.1

(In Advanced Box)

PDF Producer : Adobe Designer 7.1

---

Saved form says (this form doesn't show drop down):

-

---

(In Description box)

Application : (Blank)

(In Advanced Box)

PDF Producer : Adobe PDF Library 8.0

-

Does this difference matter? if it does, how do I change it to show Adobe Designer in the form created using function module?

Hi,

You have to be carful if you use the PDF Preview in Designer to save a form as PDF. The PDF Form might not have the data inside of it. As a result, for example, a drop-down list which is populated from data might be empty (since the data is missing).

The recommended approach is to always render a PDF form through ADS and not use the PDF created by Designer.
