Hi All,
I have a requirement in which i have to have a log of all the users who used a particular critical transaction (let's say SU01). Preferably, i would need to have an alert to be triggered whenever someone tries to access this transaction.
Is it possible through CCMS Alert Monitoring? Please help
Thanks
Vijay
Hi Siddhesh,
Thanks Much.
But, i don't want my mailbox to be full with the alerts of every transaction being used. I want an alert only for a particular transaction.
I just want to know if it is possible to alert the use of a specific transaction.
Thanks
Vijay

Hello,
You can configure monitor sets and customize what you monitor, check the below link:

Hi,
As per the procedure described by you both, it is possible to trace all the transactions and its users.
But, I just want to get alerts (may be through email) when someone tries to access a critical transaction (say SU01).
Please help.
Thanks
Vijay

Hello Vijay,
Once you configured your Audit logs, your CCMS Security node would pick these alerts.
These alerts can then be sent as email to configured userids as Auto Reaction to alert.
Read the following SAP Note
SAP Note Number: 176492 - Automatic email when an alert occurs (RZ20)

Siddhesh
hello Vijay,
Yes, this is possible, as J haynes said earlier, you can setup audit logs. And these Audit logs can be pulled up in CCMS as alerts.
I have done this for my client.
Try checking the template in RZ20 - CCMS monitor sets->SAP CCMS Monitor Templates->Security -> Instance Name->Transaction Start/Report Start
Check this link:

Have you looked into using the audit log? That tracks usage of transactions by user. This can be setup in transaction SM19 and reports run from SM20.
Here is some help info: [Security Audit Log|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/68/c9d8375bc4e312e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm]
Hope that helps.
