Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape

Former Member

Dear all,

I have an ECC system with ABAP and Java installed.

I already configured so that SLDCheck, RFC destination configuration run successfully.

PIAPPLUSER is not locked and can logon.

However, when I import software component version in Integration Builder, the system return error message "Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape Directory "Server:50000".

Please tell me how to correct this error.

Giang

Hi,

There could be many causes for this error (as you may have guessed from all the responses to your query). You should also check the Error Log in the Visual Administrator, this will give you an accurate idea of the problem.

One problem that I faced once was I got the same error you are getting because the standard service user did not have the java roles properly assigned to it in the Java stack (Visual Administrator).

Also do these

Just refresh the CPACache & SXI_CACHE.

The CPACache refresh is done by this URL:

http://<server name>:<HTTP Port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full

Thanks

I've read through all your suggestions but still no luck.

Cache refresh, SLDCheck successfull.

Another thing I noticed is, when I logon to server:50000/nwa using J2ee_admin, the system shows a status saying that SLD is not accessible.

Thanks

Giang,

Is your SLD configured on the same PI server or some other server?

My SLD is in the same server with XI.

I tried the steps suggested by Vikranth.

I try to fully refresh the cache but encounterred authorization error.

Even the user I login is PIDIRUSER and this user has the role SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER.

For Java Roles, please tell me what roles for what users are needed?

Dear all,

I follow the note 768148 by reviewing all the users in SLD and it works now.

We need to have correct roles to each SLD users.

Thanks all,
