CADDesktop with several Solidworks installations

Hi folks,

we have a system landscape with one SAP ERP6.0 system and two locations using Solidworks, but with different KPROs and different requirements of BADIs. So we customized CDESK_CUS with two CAD Systems "Solidworks A" and "Solidworks B" assigning different users to each one. We also set different filter types for the BADIs.

When we logon to SAP via CDESK-interface from Solidworks unfortunately always "Solidworks A" is used independent of which user logons.

For the different KPROs we customized two profiles also assigned different user. But these seems to be not working, too.

Does anyone has an idea, how to use several Solidworks systems with one SAP?

Regards,

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

what is your intention to split up the CDESK-Customzing into two different SolidWorks instances? It is not possible to split this up. You can only assign SOLIDWORKS as CAD-System. You probably have to find another way for your BADI-implementations.

Regarding you ContentServer purposes, you can control it via profiles, as you already mentioned.

Hi Dirk,

you are right. Meanwhile I asked a GEDAS-expert and he told me the same. Now we differentiate the two SOLIDWORKS instances by the group which has to be customized in cdes_cus.

In the BADIs we implemented coding which gets the group for the active user and we can decide if the BADI is valid or not.

Thanks and regards,

Oliver

Oliver,

by the way. CIDEON Software is now responsible for developing the SAP direct integration for SolidWorks and SolidEdge.

Best Regards.

Hi,

you have not done configuration between Solidworks B system to SAP R/3 system and also check conections and all.
