Hi kavitha,
for what in the world do you need an offline backup of a MaxDB database?
DB13 is meant for regular jobs ... to keep the system alive ... a offline backup is not necessary for that with MaxDB.
Take a backup - and you can use it to startup the db after a recovery, weather you can apply any log backups or not.
If you want to perform a system copy and you want to be really really really sure about the state of the db you are going to copy - ok, than bring the MaxDB instance to ADMIN mode and take a backup.
For this there is no DB13 action - of course not.
You can simply use the DBMGUI, DB Studio or (hardcore, hardcore...) dbmcli.
A real offline backup as in Oracle - not available, not necessary, not usefull for anything.
