How much suitable is Oracle 11i with ECC 6.0..
How Oracle 11i is more suitable than SQL..
Plz. tell, what is diff. between Oracle 11i & SQL and how it is more suitable than SQL...
Thanks..

Oracle 11i will not be released for SAP products before Q3 of next year (2009) - see http:/

- Oracle is MUCH more complex (hundreds of parameters) --> you need good DBA skills to run and tune the database (see note 105047 - Support for Oracle functions in the SAP environment for a list of features)
- Oracle is much more expensive (licensing per user, annual maintenance) than SQL
- Oracle knowledge is wide-spread since it´s a de-facto standard
The question is: Why do you want to switch your database?
