Why the add-in software " OpenPS" can't connect to R/3 ?

Now I want to download the project from R/3 PS. But I can't connect to R/3 from the add-in software in MS Project. But My consultant can connect to the R/3 using my username and passward in his computer and the add-in software-"OpenPS".

version of MS Project: 2003

version of GUI R/3 : 710

version of add-in software, " OpenPS": 2.02

hope you were able to use the OPEN PS already to download..

i have a similar problem but even if i already did the steps in the SAP note mentioned but still i am unable to download projects and still the upload button is deactivated..

Hi,

If u r able to download & not able to upload, reason could be the authorization issue. Please check whether you have authorization for transaction 'maintain/display RFC' with ur basis person.

Inorder to upload the project from MS project to SAP, u shud have that authorization.

hi, I have got the reason that lead to the un-connection with theR/3 PS . We must have the right version of GUI. If you use the GUI version that above the 640, then you will meet the problems that I had met( my GUI version is 710) .
