Sapscript translated in non-english language - Garbled output as Email

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I've translated a SAPscript to Chinese and Thai language.

As per my requirement, the output can either be printed, emailed or faxed.

I'm using the standard include RVADOPFO for Open form.

For the english version, I'm able to recieve the properly formatted e-mail output.

However in case of thai and chinese, the Thai and Chinese characters do not appear. Most of them are substituted with blank spaces and some are substituted with boxes and unknown characters. However, the numbers and english characters appear.

Please help in getting the correct output.

Thanks!

Nitya.

This could be the reason for getting garbage values with double digit characters.

Check

1) Is the Font available on Printer??

2) Does device type support the font??

3) Is SAP level Multibyte setting in place ??

4) OS Language setting in place??

5) Is appropriate font for the language used Upload the font??

Hi All,

Is this problem resolved? I am having the same problem with my Sapscript form. Actual printout and preview of form with Thai characters is OK but when converted to PDF, the thai characters turned into garbage characters like squares. The system version is already in ECC 6.0.

Hoping you could give some idea on how you resolved this as I've already applied some Notes but haven't been successful in resolving the issue.
