Business mapping, experts advice required

Dear Experts,

I need your suggestion for business mapping.

Our Client is Builder, who undertakes following types of projects:

1. Contracting Project - He just takes order for construction of building & executes. He pays for expenses of material, labour & raises regular bills to customer.

This looks like Customer Project.

2. Development Project - He him self acquires land, constructs building & sells/leases flats, offices.

This looks like Investment project to me.

Where should we settle theses two?

Profitability Segment, Cost Center, AuC, G/L, etc....

Please advice.

Hi,

Case1: Yes your concept is correct.

Case2: I would break it into 2 parts:

1. Land aquisition and construction as phase1: Investment/cost Projects

2. Leasing, selling: customer projects as revenue is generated.

In fact wanted to add something in the previous reply:

Case1: PSG.

Case2: FXA For investments.

For Customer: I would assume the real estate management would be the solution in support to PS.

Hi sanjay,

First of all create a AUC and project.

we can create a sales order with non stock item and

make advances from costumer in FI against sales order.

Once total Asset has been created make final billing

against the sales order.

If it is not helpful then,

Realestate managment would be the solution.

Hi,

For case-1: Costumer Project can be settle to profitability

segment.

For case-2: This can be treated as investment project

and first settlement can be done to AUC and then to

Asset.once settlement is completed selling of asset procedure are taken care by SD throw sales order against Asset.

In case 2,

First Settlement will be done to AuC,then to asset OK.

But process of Booking/Selling flats starts immediately after Creation of Project, AuC. Sometime much before start of Project.

We need to create Sales order, Sales/Customer Project much before AuC is created.

Is it possible?
