Hi Gurus,
I need to reserve the stock for the customers whem I save the sales order, but if I have stock available the ATP suggests a future date and not reserve the stock immediately.
Is there a process in SAP standard that reserve the material to the sales orderor to the customer in creating the order?
Thanks
Filipe
When you create a sales order,
The system carries out delivery scheduling (backward scheduling) based on the customer's requested delivery date and determines the material availability date. It then runs an availability check for this
date.
The availability check shows that the system can confirm the quantity for the requested delivery date.
If availablity check is confirmed it means that stock is allocated to that sales order. You can re-allocate this stock to another high priority customer at delivery stage by doing re-scheduling.
The reason you are seeing a future date is because of delivery scheduling and not because of ATP.

It all depends on delivery date you are indicating on sales order.
Enter delivery date as today and see that you would have different results.
