Regarding Trusted RFC

Former Member

Hi,

I am trying to set-up the Trusted RFC from my solman to the production server.

Both are on i400 series and same box.

I keep getting error RC=1, No authorizations to connect as trusted system.

I have checked under dev_rfc.trc

RFC I/O error- sys-error.

T 1286.

Checked all the notes regarding to these errors , kernel level is more than what is mentioned in the notes,ABAP and BASIS component are also fine.

The authorizations for the users on both the servers is given ,, both S_RFC and S_RFCACL.

There is a mention in help.sap.com to clean out the user buffer in SU56 if the problem persists(RC=1).

Is this recommended?? as its a production system.

Watch out for SM59 and /etc/services

Hi Rene,

I am working on I400 series.

I have seen the entries in the table the message server is mentioned with the correct TCP port.

The authorizations are correct in both the systems.

The Service under STMS is not activated in the satellite system.

and let me know what was the addition to the services file..

I already have the message server mentioned.

wht else is needed??

the error in DEV_RFC is

error RFCIO_error_syserror in abrfcio_mt.c

And one doubt, do we need to have the entries in the services file just like the host file,, i mean ,, solman with entries of satellite and in satellite entries of solman ??

saw it in ur thread somewhere..

also SMT1 creation goes fine in both the systems, in SMT2 in the satellite system it says service "sapms??" unknown connection closed.. saw it in your thread also. the solution is the same include into services file, but i have done it already still not working..

And , the authority_check_trusted_system

How did you solve this ??

any help

Regards,

Kaustubh.

in SMT2 in the satellite system it says service "sapms??" unknown connection closed.

On the machine where this problem occurs: go to your services file (e.g. /etc/services) and enter the message server which is unknown.

Should look like:

sapms<target system id> 36<target system instance number>/tcp

For instance PRD, system number 00:

sapmsPRD 3600/tcp

If it is still unknown it might be necessary to reset the hostname buffer in SM51. For new entries in the hosts file it is useful but I am not sure if it also works for the services file.

Double check that the profiles of the roles containing S_RFC and S_RFCACL are generated correctly and user comparison is done.

Hi kaustubh,

I don't know the I400series, so I can't say what is different.

If trusted services is activated or not (in SMTS), I think it might none sense, because here it's in XI activated and in R3 inactiv and it is still quite working on both systems.

In /etc/services I added

sapms = your SolMan-SID (i.e. SSM )

almost like Christian mentioned before.

SMT2 is normally irrelevant. This is also mentioned in sap help.

SMT1 is important.

What was your way to build up the trusted system?

I did it this way:

1. create rfc-destination in SM59. Giving ip/name for satellit system, but no logoninformation. Also trusted system = no

2. starting SMT1, add trusted system and give the name of the destination from step 1

3. Do it in satellit system also.

4. Create RFC-Destinations in SMSY

5. After creating I had to change the configurations of the automated created RFCs (i.e. Name of RFC User)

6. Destination from step 1 trusted=yes but giving no further information.

Other ways to build up an trusted system didn't work, although in SMT1 everything looks fine and in /etc/services the ssm was inserted.

HI Christian,

Thanks for the info.

But as i have already mentioned this has been done and checked.

well roles and user comparison is the first thing ...

I have added sapms<SID> 36<xx> / tcp of each and every server in all the services files on both the systems..

Thanks for the help , just one more question??

How can I check if this is a problem with the network settings?? how to check that?

and SM51 wont help, we can try out with SU56 resetting the user buffer data , if possibly the role assignment may be corrected/adjusted, something.. not sure about this..

Kaustubh.

Hi Rene,

Thanks for all the help.

This was a problem with the SAP Router.

Kaustubh.
