Client not modifiable? Where to check first?

Former Member

Hello Guys,

Just want to check, if it says Client xxx not modifiable, should this mean client be set to Productive mode in SCC4? Or any other settings?

What if client is already Productive in SCC4 but still giving the error Client xxx not modifiable?

Regards,

jennah

Hi Siddhesh,

I have a quick check on the link but I cant find exactly on concept about what it means if a client is Productive, on what is special about being this client..

Also, when it means open the system for chages or do manual configuration it means changing something in SCC4 and revert afterwards? Also at which times is manual configuration required?

Hello Jennah,

Please read more on Client concepts.

Especially multi client administration.

Check the following link:

No,

You could set a client to a mode which is not productive mode and still set the client to not modifiable via client settings in SCC4.

Check SCC4 transaction and see the first set of settings with a title like 'Changes and Transports for Client Specific Objects'

Hello Deepak,

This option is for the entire system, for client settings it has to be SCC4.

yes, check client in SCC4.

>What if client is already Productive in SCC4 but still giving the error Client xxx not modifiable?

A client is not modifiable if it is productive.

Check the other parameters in SCC4.
