Hi Friends,

We have defined qauntitative MIC .Setting control indicators upper limit, summarised recording, fixed scope,

record measured value, it is incomplete copy model.

this MIC is assigned in the inspection plan with upper limit say 5.0.when we record inspection result and put value 5.1 after getting inspection lot , system does not reject the valuation since 5.1 is more than specified limit but if we put value 5.5 then system reject the valuation.

we understand that from arithmatic point of view it is ok but my user need , system should reject the valuation as soon as value get more than 5.0.

How it is possible

you will be appriciated for any clue

Thanks and regards,

SADAN

Check the number of decimal points allowed by the mic and in configuration number of extra decimal points allowed for results recording.

As you have correctly deduced, the system is rounding a 5.1-5.4 entry to 5.0 for valuation purposes.

You must either

1) disallow the extra decimal recording in results recording so that the user can only enter 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. (Cause you have defined the mic as having 0 decimals)

2) Change the mic to allow one decimal in which case, with your current config you'll be able to enter values like 5.12

3) Change the mic to allow one decimal and change config to disallow the enterring of an additional decimal value so you can only enter values like 5.1. This would then be out-of spec.
