verify database in db13

Hi All,

Scheduling dbverify action in db13 is getting failed with initialization error "SAP system is running or SAP user is connected to database - database cannot be shut down"

Even while scheduling this action it does not prompt the oracle profile parameter pop-up window where we can have a choice to set the other parameters (own created) except std one.

system details:

version: ECC6.0

patch level : 12

kernel : 700

patch level: 145

database: oracle

Need your precious help in this regards.

Thanks for your prompt and nice answer.

Still there is one problem which i have mentioned in the second para.

When i do schedule this action in db13 it does not ask me to select

the profile parameter. Generally It should prompt that window.

So need your further suggestions in this regard.

so probably it brings the standard one..initSID.sap.

While i investigate why the system doesn't leave you to choose the correct profile, you can, from

OS level , change the standard profile to 'online' so you can do this activity.

i know this is a workaround anyway you can do it.

Hi,

Try to run DBverify from either Brtools or sapdba first in ordert to ensure any change require in profile.

Hi,

You can create a copy of init<SID>.sap (init<SID>.sap.dbv), in this file

set the default backup as online (probably is set like 'offline' backup) .

When you run the dbverify in DB13 you can use the init<SID>.sap.dbv
