Existing SAN Storage to new Servers

Hi,

I would like to connect my existing landscape sysems SAN to the new upgraded servers. Means currently my production servers are on cluster with DB, CI instances. We are updrading the HW of existing servers but not the SAN storage. Please guide how to plan existing SAN storage to the new servers.

I´m not sure what you´re asking about - what is your problem? You don´t know how you can "move" the data?

Hi Markus/Prasanna,

I got the same requirement. I have a scenario where in which only the HW for the Servers (DB+CI cluster instance) are being upgraded and the SAN storage remains same. After the hardware delivery i need to connect the new server with DB and CI instance with the data on the SAN storage. Can i make a VG export to the new servers and can connect to the data in the storage or how to go about. Could you please detail me. Second thing is there is no extra space on storage, to make a copy of the database.
