Dear experts,
we are using standard functionality of publication (/sapapo/c4) in order to transfer stock transport orders from APO-SNP to R/3. This works quite OK but the orders are created in R/3 with quantities in base units of measure. Does anyone know if smth can be done in order to create orders in R/3 in e.g. sales or purchasing UoM or any other specific UoM ?

After some testitng we discovered by the "Var order unit' set to '1' on the PIR. If the order unit is PK for an item on the matl master and PIR, when you create the STO directly in R/3 it will default to PK, but if the var order unit is set to 1 the system ALLOWS you to change the order unit to EA. HOWEVER, when APO-SNP is creating the STO if the 'var ord unit' is acitve then by default the STO ends up as 'ea'. When we changed the 'var ord unit' = <blank> then when APO-SNP creates the STO it will create it as "PK"
I hope this helps.

Have you found a clear solution for this issue. We have APO-SNP creating the STO and when they push down to R/3 they are in the base unit of measure. In R/3 we have the PIR & Matl Master setup with the correct Order Unit of PK (Pack) and when you create STO directly in R/3 the STO creates with the UOM of PK.
So why is the STO created with a base UOM of EA when pushed down from APO-SNP, however, generated in R/3 the UOM is correct.
Thanks,

I think it is SAP standard to create orders in Base UoM in R3. For you to be able to create orders in alternative UoMs, you may need to resort to CIF user exists in R3 inbound processing. This you can find in SPRO in R3 side.
