vat serial number

Hi experts,

Could any one suggest some solution for my issue

While creating Billing document the following error is popping up

XXX/bpwp/H1 no control record found in 2008

I guess VAT serial number has to be maintained for comp code for the Financial year 2008.

I want to know where to maintain the vat serial number.

Any solution is highly appreciable

The error message is

No sufficient record found in control table for COMP CODE/BPWB/H1 as on 01.04.2008

Sorry still I am not clear but assuming that H1 is your tax code, please go to VK12, input UTXJ and see whether the validity dates of tax code is within the billing period. The other option is go to FS00, input the G/L Account and click on the tab "Control Data". There ensure that the asterisk (*) mark is there for the field "Tax category".

If H1 is not your tax code, then please give some clue what H1 means ?? Sorry to put questions b4 u
