MDM to BI Communication Channel via XI

Hi,

which Communication Channel is used by the way MDM to BI.

MDM to XI use the ftp-Protocol

but which way (protocol) is used by XI to BI (IDoc, RFC,???)

(and how is the configuration)

I want to send a GenericProduct from MDM to BI via XI.

The product is received by the XI, but it will not send to BI.

The Scenario Configuration Guide and the WebEx Session was no help.

Hi Oliver,

I've not setup any MDM to BI connection so far, but i have done some data load scenarios to BW via XI. So i can tell you, that normally ABAP Proxies are used for data load into BW.

Again i'm not sure about your specific sceanrio, maybe there is some standard content from SAP. If not, refer to this how to guide https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/18dfe590-0201-0010-6b8b-d21... on data load from XI to BW, which explains in detail, what needs to be done, if you create your own SOAP data source to be filled.

you have to use an abap proxy.

A proxy need a XI Communication channel in XI
