Availability check and MMBE

Hi Gurus,

What is the difference between Availability check we do in sales order and MMBE stock overview?

I believe availability check in sales order is to get us Delivery date and to pass on the requirements.

I think MMBE can be used to see how much stock is available for a material in all the plants

You are right........

But a word of caution here would be that MMBE might not always show you the correct available stocks since it does not show you the order and delivery reservations.

The best place to know that is the MD04 list that gives a list of almost everything that is associated with the Plant/material combo.

As Arijeet Expalined, the MMBE report will not show the material confirmed to order, material reservation ...etc.

If you check in MMBE, you can find the material which is there in stock or in transit. MD04 is also will be more helpful .

Hi anil

In MMBE stock overview , we can check the material availability based on storage location .

When any stock gets unconfirmed then in the sales order , then availability check takes place. and tells us that stock is not available on that date , and system proposes the next delivery date to the customer for that unconfirmed qty
