Hi
i am creating a datasource in visual administrator for accessing/to create tables in j2ee engine internal database like oracle.
after filling all the information, then iam trying to execute database schema squery called select * from tab in visual administrator. but gives the following error
-
java.rmi.RemoteException: com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.exceptions.BaseRemoteException: SQL statement(s) cannot be executed over DataSource "ExxonLogViewerDS". If you are using an Open SQL DataSource, you must register your tables using JDDI before you request them. Reason: com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.exceptions.BaseSQLException: ResourceException in method ConnectionFactoryImpl.getConnection(): com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.exceptions.BaseResourceException: SQLException thrown by the physical connection: java.sql.SQLException: Invalid Oracle URL specified: OracleDataSource.makeURL [id = Unknown]
please anybody help me out on this issue.

Hi,
I guess you have to register a JNDI Resource and then perform a lookup on this resource when using the Datasource.
See the following docs:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/08/8f633e0084e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

Hope this helps
Cheers
