Hello SAPians,
While creating a stock under MB1C, following issue occurs;
The material belongs to a material type whose stocks are not managed on a quantity basis.
Please help, points 'll be awarded.

go to oms2 (t-code). there you need to check the quantity and value update for particular material type.
it is going to solve your problem.

Thanks gurus, but it doesnt allows me to save the material.
In table 169P the entry 1111 is missing. Where 1111 is my company code.

Use t.code:OMS2 and select ur Material type and click quantioty and value updating(left side) and in next screen
Select your valuation area( plant) and see check of of quaniti upadating and value updating select or not, if not slect check box of both nad save.

Fallow below steps:
1) go to mmo3 give the material number and in admin check the material type.
2) go to SPRo> Logistc Gen-MM-Basic setting-material type-define attributes and material types and select the material type and click on quantity and value update..here is the settings for the same.

First you need to make sure whther this material type is relevent for Quantity updation. This can be effectively done in OMS2, check the quantity updation box against your plant and material type. Revert back if you have any further queries.

Dear Rahul
Go to OMS2, select the material type, double click on "Quantity / value updation". There ensure that for the combination of plant and material type, the field "Qty updating" is selected.
