Hi,

Anybody Can explain me what is d proper meaning of UD(Usage Decision) Code and wat iits effect in PM (where it use)....

also explain d meaning of catalog and wat effect it makes on PM.....hwz more it useful?

dat i want to doin certification IN *plant maintenance* from SAP so any1 expalin wat d procedure ffor doin certification from SAP n wats d minimum requ. fr doin dis?and also send d neceesary link for it..

hi

UD usage decision is used for evaluation the material or equipment ,ie if you use QM module an inspection lot will be generated for the different business process ,hence QM people will test the material characteristic based on which the material is usable or not

As far as PM is concerned it is mainly used for calibration and test equipment management.so after calibrating the instrument you have to specify the UD which specifies the condition of the equipment ie whether it is reusable or not.

main use in PM is for report generation ,ie while completing notification you can specify the causes of damage,object part,activities,task ,damage which are code group of catalog

this will be used for getting the result as how many damages,causes etc occurred during the period for particular equipment using standard reports
