C Oracle Client Version: '10.2.0.1.0'

First: you are using an unsupported Oracle instantclient version - install 10.2.0.2.

To you actual problem: It seems that the shadow instance hasn´t been created correctly - I suggest you open an OSS call so people can investigate on the system.

Hi Markus,

thks for your advise. I already updated the Oracle Client to version 10.2.0.2.

The upgrade from CRM 5.0 to CRM 6.0 - 2007 is still running, but theres nothing happens in PHASE SETSYNC_EULCK_D1. This Phase comes after the EU_Imports 1-7.

In the log directory there ist also nothing the indicates about errors.

Here is the last SAPUp.log entries

  1. Setting syncpoint EU_LOCKED=STARTED in E:\usr\sap\put\mig\SYNC.DAT

At the usr sap put tmp directory, that shows the current activitiy of the upgrade, there also nothing happens.

if i have to start the shadow instance in the mmc manually at this time of the upgrade phase....at this time it doesnt work, but i dont find anything in the upgrade documentation.

Cheers Mario

Is this a combined ABAP + Java instance?

And: I HIGHLY suggest using the very latest version of SAPup and fixpack, we had several errors where the development needed to fix things manually.

One error is not yet in the actual fixpack.

Hi Markus,

yes is a double stack ABAP & JAVA System.

How can i check the sapup version and what did you recommend ?

The shadowinstance is not possible to start at this time. I test it with the command line command: sapup startshd .....its not possible before phase START_SHDI_FIRST

The reason, why the upgrade is not progressing, is the fact, that the Java upgrade must run in parallel. The system waits for the Java instance to reach a certain point of the upgrade also.

So you have to start SAPJup also, do prepare, bind support packages etc. - just as you were doing an ABAP upgrade.

Yes i know. I start the jave upgrade parallel. the Java upgrade Manager is in the PHASE GETSYNC_PREUPTIME_FINSISHED...

But it doesn`t run.....i repeat and initialize the last ABAP phase twice but nothing in the status.

Do you mean it is helpful to repeat the java phase ? When i start the startgui.bat in the usr-sap-jupgrade-exe directory in show the last phase, i can`t see a possobility to repeat the phase.

I see...

hmm.. it´s very difficult to "debug" this problem remotely. I suggest you open an OSS call and let the support people have a look on the system.

At this time of the Upgrade, the Shadow instance couldn`t run. It was that Problem ->
