satellite communications for ERP

Hello everyone.

Can we use satelite communication for ERP. For example: we will use SAP GUI for communicate to WEB As via satelite communication. Is it possible? if so, what restriction there are?

Hi,

The Satellite link will work for SAP access but you will get the high latency.

It will add nearly half a second to your response time.

Remember how it is easy to speak together on a satellite telephone conversation !

I talking about channels. You know, fiber channel take place or satellite channel. So we have sattelite channel only and we want to connect to our SAP WEB AS is resided in other city (other place of world)

This area pertains to your network team. At SAP level, all we need is that server running the WebAS should be reachable, irrespective of Satellite or Fiber optic cable communication.
