Dear friends,

We have recently upgraded our DEV and QA system to ECC 5.0. Now we have to upgrade our PRD, what are the things we need to take into consideration before the upgrade and does any one have any updgrade check list.

Do we to run the Early watch report after the upgrade for the DEV and QA systems.

You have mentioned that you have already completed upgrade of DEV and Quality. therefore you already know how to go about. could you please clarify what exactly you are looking for Production Environment,

Its always better to get early watch done after the upgrade.

Hi ,

Checklist is pretty straight forward, Its all depends upon the following:

1) source release OS/ DB and SAP.

2) Then OS / DB Patch Level

3) Require source Release patch Level for Upgrade and Kernel.

Note: can check the combination require before start the upgrade at: http://service.sap.com/pam.

then Plan which are the Modules using,if HR as well then you require to perform some additional steps before Upgrade.Like Backing up the HR wages tables.Also it is Unicode or Non unicode Upgrade.

1) for Ecc 6 Upgrade Basic thing Based upon the Upgrade experience i have.for target release should have

Patch Level :

ABAP 13/BASIS-13 , BW-12. this will help you to do Upgrade smoothly.Rest Known issue Which are differ from client to client you would have already recorded.
